Hmmm... that's very interesting. It might have something to do with the fact that more people know of that site than this one, so with that knowledge people know they don't really have time to haggle before someone else will swoop in.

Like I said, it took me almost two years to hear of this site.

ColoG is an online gun buying/selling website. No talking no baloney. COAR seems to be more for talking, building, posting, etc. Don't get me wrong, lots of stuff gets sold on here, but it seems to me you really have to take a hit to sell something quick.

I'm sorry DSB, me no comprende. I've sold/tried to sell prob a half dozen guns on here- to sell, I have had to gradually lower the price, sometimes several times, and sometimes even that doesn't help. On ColoG, I have always gotten my asking price, never hard to haggle.

Yeah, this site is free to sell. I really like the FTF transction here. Get to know/meet more people.

I kinda prefer it that way. I just moved out here and I'd like to make friends more than anything else.

I look at it this way:

    - If you're just looking to sell firearms, pay the $25 to join RMGO and post on cologunmarket

    - If you're looking for interaction with other firearms enthusiasts about a multitude of subjects (some of which we actually keep gun related) and look at the selling of firearms as an added bonus, you're in the right place. There is also the added benefit of having a feedback area here to refer to before making a purchase.

It's all a matter of what you are looking for. Be warned though, the biggest drawback when you sell something on co-ar15.com is that you have to allow extra time for the BS session that inevitably happens at the end of almost all transactions. I don't think that I've met anybody from here that it hasn't been easy to strike up a conversation with for at least a good half hour after the transaction is completed.

Because of the ongoing firearms discussion that happens on this forum, most (if not all) folks here are very well informed when it comes to understanding the fair market value of a firearm or firearm-related product.

I have purchased and sold several items through this forum and every transaction has been a pleasant one.

I, for one, am very happy that we are offered the opportunity to take advantage of the "For Sale" section of the CO-AR15 forum free of charge. A big THANK YOU to the Mods and Admins of this site for this opportunity!!

Although I love long conversation, I try to keep the conversation about 2-3 minutes.
I am usually with my family when I meet people here for transction.

However, I do love those 20min chat about firearm and COAR15.

The cost of Colo Gun Market is what turned me off. I'd rather meet some cool people, sell or buy, and be able to have a forum for feedback than make or save a few bucks.
