Homeowner comes home to investigate his burglar alarm going off, 3 suspects flee the scene.
Suspects return later and get more than they bargained for.

Let's just hope that the criminals don't try to sue the homeowner for shooting them, even if they were in the commission of a crime. Hence why I always go for the shots that eliminate the threat- if need be permanently. Dead men can't sue.

True. but their families can. Best defense is clearance by the cops it was a justified shoot. Castle doctrine/stand your ground laws can make a huge difference. Thats why I don't live in New Pork or Kommiefornia any more...
