I was totally setting you up for the French language slam. Like a volleyball bounce to leave you there for the slam.

I still don't understand the sterotype that the French can't win wars, though... as recently as 1811 Napolean rolled a good chunk of continental Europe under the tricolor.

When is the last time a western (NATO) nation won an outright victory? Britian in Malaysia in the 50's? Not that we don't tactically win every battle but the strategic war.

And I'd like to think we (allied because no single country between us and Europe- the ones that really matter because we all know the state Africa has been in- really has gone to major "war" without help recently unless you're Hitler's Germany) had a pretty good track record of the most recent actual conflicts (Persian Gulf War, War in Iraq- Vs. Iraq, not the insurgency that followed, War in Afghanistan- again minus insurgency, Balkan War...)

At least the French have balls enough to go on a country wide strike when their government does something against their constitution. Americans are down right pussies compared to the French when it comes to standing up for rights.

They went on strike because the equivalent of their Constitution guaranteed retirement at a certain age. Then the government went and changed it.

The only people I see rioting in this country are the people who want to steal stuff or who like sports waaaaay too much.
