TV crapped out on me, repair shop?

i'm almost ashamed to admit this story but here goes, last year I was cleaning my 1006 smith and the recoil spring rod shot out and hit my 1 month old 55" led and shattered the screen they wanted over a thousand bucks to fix it, with no guarantee how long before they could get the parts. I only paid $1400 for the whole tv, so needless to say I went and bought a new tv, and put the broken one in storage for parts like the tv shop reccomended, now I have everything but a screen if my new tv takes a dump.

Just make sure you take care to not blow a recoil spring through the new one since that's the one part you don't have.
