when i dealt with them it was a lady also, she was rude beyound all reason i dont remember the name but she caused me not to buy from them, and she lost the store 500+ dollar sale.

i hope they will clear this up nicely.

the dropping off without a signature is fedex's a$$ they can get can loose the money for that shipment.
lucky your an honest guy, fedex would have had to pay the company insured rate for the rifle because it was not signed for, that is one of the main reasons for sign confermation.

Call and talk with Ralph. He will make it right and get their mistake rectified. They will take care of everything including Ms. Smart xxx.

The ATF is gunning for these guys because they make politically incorrect "assault" weapons. I can tell you off-line about the ATF intimidation tactics. Don't give them a reason to shut them down or we all will be the worse for it.
I think this is probably the way to go. I was thinking of calling today and asking to speak to the general manager. Also several friends recommended that I not get the Police or the ATF involved for the companies sake.

    Excellent idea!

When companies have lousy CSR's the company suffers, and if no one tells the management of the problem, all they will see is a drop in sales.

Now if the management doesn't at least thank you for your honesty, then there is a problem and you might give them a hassle over it.

The part about burning a couple thousand rounds through it before shipping it back comes to mind

But I would not involve the popo's or the atf, it would not bode well for any concerned, including yourself. You would be marked as receiving firearms without proper transfer, even though you wouldn't be charged in this case you would become a focus point.

Congratulations on your new AK. I'm placing an order right now under the name John Smith. I expect the free AK's to start piling up on my door step.

+1 on not giving it to the police to turn into a focal point for gun ban.

Or you could contact the FFL it was supposed to be shipped to. He may want to know of this screw up. He may even throw you a couple of mags for this info.

thats true, if it was supposed to go to an FFL near you just contact that FFL and let them know that maybe the best way to handle this.

I called the management and finally got a hold of them at the end of the day after I had already sent the gun back. I got the two things I was really after; a thank you and an apology for the way this was handled. Apparently the girl I spoke with on the phone told the management that I said I would not send the gun back unless they sent me some mags and I informed them that I said noting of the sort. I did say it would be nice to get something for dealing with this mess but NEVER threatened to not return the firearm.

Although it was tempting to put some rounds through it after the treatment I got yesterday I returned the gun unfired.

Well i'm not buying a thing from them after what i've heard here.. personally i woulda screwed em over but thats just me, i hate bad customer service, and i'm sure people have complained about her before but for some reason she never gets fired?

Doesnt sound like a good company to me... we'd probobly be better off without em. Plenty of place with GOOD service out there.

Actually, if you're in the market for an AK they're probably one of the better brands out there as far as quality of the gun goes. I imagine that they probably have trouble finding people who sound sweet and innocent on the phone considering their business. Thinking back on the situation I'm glad that you handled it the way you did MP5 and I'm kinda ashamed of myself for offering the advice that I did
