You should all be behind seven proxies or on TOR anyway...

My wife has an account and never posts. I'm going to f'ing pissed if I get banned over it.
What's the big deal with multiple accounts anyway? Who cares?

I'm not not knocking the rules, they are what they are. All I'm saying is, it's a better forum when Byte Stryke is around. Even if you don't agree with him all the time, he is witty, humourous and makes for a good read and entertainment. Plus he's just a good dude. I hope he comes back when the ban is over.
I've been a member of a site called huntingnet.com for years. It was the best site ever. Thousands of members. It was all you could do to keep up with everything. They started banning a lot of the regular guys and things started falling apart. The place is a ghost town now. I just wouldn't won't anything like that to happen here because this is my favorite site that I am a member of.

A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
By the way, apparently Byte's wife is trying to sell her gun on here. Was anyway. She won't be back.

From what I understand both birthdays are the same because they are fake. Which I understand because I do that as well. I keep most personal info to myself. And yes Byte set up his wife's account with the same email. She didn't post because well lets face it, this forum is pretty high on the testosterone. They were trying to sell a gun, so she posted it. Byte had nothing to do with it. Either way, we lost a forum member, she wouldn't come back if she could.
I personally really like Byte, and if what he said was over the line, then so be it. His wife on the other hand did not break forum rules, at least not knowingly, so her ban I don't understand.
Wait!! What did I miss?! Why was Byte banned?.... I know the dude, he's a little quirky, but overall a good guy. Man, I need to get on here more.
I completely understand the rules and don't have a problem with them. I think that exceptions always need to be made but like Marlin says, if an account is dormant and suddenly becomes active, particularly if it's from the same IP as someone who was banned, it is a bit suspicious. I thought Nynco was a duel account too, no activity and then all of the sudden he is posting like he has nothing else to do. Seriously, he went from 5 posts to several hundred in three weeks.
Here is my take on this, and you may not agree: there is some level of trust here, we tend to trust the sellers here because we know them, but if someone is circumventing the system for whatever reason and knows it's against the board policy, that's dishonest and trust diminishes. IF Byte was using a second account that doesn't mean I won't buy a gun from him, but it does make him a little sneakier in my eyes.
I would buy a gun from most the folks on here pretty much sight unseen (at least the guys I chat with regularly) but once the trust starts to diminish, now I might want to see that gun first. I hope that makes sense!

The one thing I know is, after Byte getting the ban for the reasons he did, I'm a little less active on this forum. I have spoken my mind on a lot of topics on this forum, and some of my opinions have upset quite a few people. Now I feel like I have to self censor on these forums, which makes me less apt to post. I know what Byte posted, and personally I didn't see the difference between what he said and what others had posted, besides being aimed at an LEO. And in the topic it was an LEO that had been threatening to shoot people. Seems to me when the LEO threatened to kill people, he lost any respect garnered by his title. I also am one of those people that don't agree that a badge does anything more than get a touch more unearned respect from me. If you prove to not deserve that respect, then I'm sure as hell not going to give it.
