I believe that these types of attacks are happening all the time.

While my wife was in Dental school, she worked at an emergency clinic for a rotation and saw 5 or 6 guys that had been jumped downtown while out partying. The worst of them had a broken jaw that required emergency surgery (plus black eyes, etc.)

Avoid going downtown at night if at all possible guys!

If DPD wouldn't actually be bigger dicks to us than to the criminals, I'd almost suggest that groups of armed citizens wandering the downtown area on the weekend would put an end to this silliness.

Getting the plate number does no good I havent been jumped but my poor car was. 12 on 2 the smoke wagons singin!

Probably wasn't even in the news...don't want citizens knowing what is happening down there and that assaults are on the rise and out of control.

I work by Union Station. Most days I walk a couple blocks for cheaper parking. Nice to see uprooted plants and pigeons eating barf in the morning. If I'm working nights, I pay extra to park in the building.

LoDo is dangerous as hell, and the serious bodily injury scenarios that you'd be justified using firearms for require extra risk taking on your part to avoid the wrath of an overzealous DA.

It's amazingly wrong that I'm as scared of politics/career oriented prosecutors as I am of the roving bands of "unarmed" drugged-up thugs.

A buddy and I were jumped down there about a year and a half ago. I haven't been to LoDo since. I've got too much to live for than to risk being down there and gettin' into it again.
