Actually, that's been debunked... in real life that wouldn't actually happen in a clear cut self defense case- I asked my friend's wife who's a former ADA from MA and she said that if you have .mil training and you have to defend yourself you use whatever tools you need to defend yourself. You shouldn't be punished for using your training to defend yourself. That's why I thought Con Air was a ridiculous portrayal, but still fun to watch.
