Someone explained it to me, stores basically have a dedicated "Holiday" space or aisle in the store, and they just rotate through whatever the next Holiday is. Otherwise it'd be an empty section, or they'd have to re-stock it twice. Optimizing the system.

This is the "sale" item section typically. Two weeks ago where this display is now was about 64+ cases of gatorade for 97 cents a bottle. I filled the cart last time I was there and had hoped to do the same today. Ah well.

Peterson commissary had Gatorade in the usual place still on sale. Cheer up though - Case lot sale should be coming soon. You can stock up then!

Personally, I've been stocking up on Kraft Mac-n-cheese for 50cents a box!
