Completely irreverent to the conversation though good to know, If an experience anywhere elicits a poor impression information about it is just as welcome as a positive experience. In a word the range nazi idiocy of Cherry Creek in particular while necessary for some of the less experienced crowd should not be hap haphazardly thrown around in a one size fits all sort of way. It is not worth the price of admission, and while some are friendly and jovial the general atmosphere and lack of facilities sucks.
Couldn't agree more! IF it just happened once, then fine. But the 3 times I went over the past year were horrible experiences.

I wasn't making a case for Cherry Creek. Just making folks aware that we do have some members here that work there (not me personally). While I find the place restrictive I can't say I've had any horrible experiences. JMHO

Blucore would be a nice choice imo. If you don't buy a membership, it may be a little pricey at $17/hr, but I think it's still worth it. It is very clean, and nice. I've been there couple times since becoming a member, and have yet to see or meet any gangbanger type people. Most have been friendly, and respectful.

You say you heard about Silver Bullet, why not stop in and try it, that way you'll know for sure and you can tell everyone else the truth.

I will say that I Understand treating every shooter at Cherry creek as the lowest common denominator unless they know you.
They call it "Family shooting center" for a reason you know...

Seriously though, if 100 people with Guns walk through my door and 95 are idiots, I will treat all of them like idiots unless proven otherwise.
    MY Safety first.

I do go there from time to time, I understand they way they run it and why.
we have a choice, accept it or go somewhere else.
Considering they have hours waiting some weekends (like now), They must be doing something right.

I think that is being located in Cherry Creek, right in the middle of town.

you mean, aside from the fact its on the SE Corner of the Metro, a Pain to get into and not exactly a long range range...

    not going there.

its a decent 100 yard sighting range and a decent pistol range for beginner/intermediates.

The reason it's so busy of late is that hunting season is upon us and people are lining up in droves to check scope zero before the big day.

I have seen a guy sit down, lock the Bolt action 3--- whatever into the bench rest, pop a 3 round group and leave.
