Colorado Rifle Club is an hour east of town north of Byers. While it is a drive to get out there it sounds like the isolated club you are looking for. Its worth a look. (what are you intending to shoot?)

Since you've changed your requirements, I'll second Golden Gun Club. I've been a member out there for 6 years and it's a good place to shoot with one of the only 500 yard ranges in the area. No gangbanger types. I've never seen any flagrant rule or safety violations. While they run a tight ship, you are pretty free to shoot as you please unlike Cherry Creek. Membership information is here. Range specifications, images and a google map of the range are here.
An alternative is Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club in Dumont, west of Idaho Springs. The nice thing is they have separate bays so you can be isolated from most of the other shooters on the range. The downside is, I believe that they max range is 100 yds.
There is also Aurora Gun Club, which has a 200 yard rifle range and 7 pistol ranges.
There are a few others in the area, I believe Ben Lomand was mentioned. A place called Lead Valley that I don't know much about (google it they have a website) and Boulder Rifle Club (they have a cap on membership which equates to a 6 to 10 year wait).
Hope This Helps,
Storm

Thanks Storm! Your responses are always very thorough haha
I like the look of Golden Gun Club the best. Will have to get a membership after Christmas for 2012. Thanks guys!
I will fess up, and explain my comment. A number of years ago, (under the old management) we went out there to shoot and there was a RO in a wheelchair. That dude was a ****. You could not even fart without getting some flack from the dude. He was worse on the pistol side vs the rifle side, but he was everywhere, dispensing his rules.
All it takes is one bad experience and it will taint any future experiences.
If my comment offended someone-- sorry, but I had the experience and that is the filter I will use, until such time as I ever go there again and see something different.
You must live very close! If I go out of my backyard, I leave Denver and go into Jeffco, but will have wet feet though.
So when was the change of mangement at Golden Gun Club? Last time I shot there was about 25 years ago, did some trap no problems for me. Some years ago my boss and his father shot a sight in day there and said they would never go back. That is the big reason I havn't thought about join there. I too have been looking for a range to shoot rifles and Golden might get on my map now.
I may have taken your comment to mean "some members work there so don't bad mouth your experience" as a result the following comment. If not meant that way I apologize in advance.
Completely irreverent to the conversation though good to know, If an experience anywhere elicits a poor impression information about it is just as welcome as a positive experience. In a word the range nazi idiocy of Cherry Creek in particular while necessary for some of the less experienced crowd should not be hap haphazardly thrown around in a one size fits all sort of way. It is not worth the price of admission, and while some are friendly and jovial the general atmosphere and lack of facilities sucks.
