Yep that's all I could think of too was that sweet revolver clattering across the concrete floor. If Carl had shot the guy and he was holding the shotgun by the barrel or something it would've been a problem but I think he still had his hand in the trigger guard and was slowly swinging the barrel towards Carl Id have shot the guy too. Hershel should Have manned up and shot for him. That way Carl wouldn't have to deal with killing the kid.

I read this and then watched the episode Monday night with the daughter and was paying attention waiting for that moment. (I also noticed Daryl running around with his AR's sights folded down.) But as far as the revolver ejecting brass, to me it didn't sound like brass hitting the floor. The blonde shot herself while slumped over sitting on the floor and it was clearly the Python hitting the floor, not hard, but I have to say they did a good job. To me it wasn't the brass hitting and 'ringing' or pinging off a concrete floor, it was more solid and dull, so I say she fired and then (blasphemy) the Python hit the floor. Listen to it again and let me know what you think.

Damn, I live a pathetically boring life to watch and then comment on stuff like this... and yeah, the damn kid Carl did the right thing, the other kid didn't drop the weapon fast enough.

No it was definitely a spent casing hitting the floor

He offed his mom, dropping anyone else is merely an afterthought.

Kid was not going to drop that shotgun, he was going to make a move. He was leaning forward to close the distance as he was acting like he was going to drop it. Carl shooting him at that moment was the right move.

^THIS. Drop the gun means set it down immediately. Don't extend it and walk towards me with a funny look on your face. The teen closed the gap and left Carl no choice. Hard choice but he was able to protect the ones he was meant to.

Ironically, I thought it was a good shoot by Carl too. I still think he's seriously jacked up in the head though. WAAAAAAAAAYYY too comfortable tapping someone point blank in the head even for an adult. This guy is what, 13-14 years old? Na, that has trouble written all over it. One thing to disassociate from killing zombies. Another for a living breathing functional human.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Ya. I think we've established that. That's not the problem. The problem is how he was afterward.

I don't know. I am on the fence about Carls shot. Possibly because I think that he needs the shit slapped out of him just about every episode; I would not let my kid act like that and get away with it zombie apocalypse or not. I think that he is on a warpath with destruction, but what really gets me is that his dad and everyone else are so complacent with his acting out as a smart mouthed little kid. When he stole the gun from Darrel I would have lost my mind and handled that whole responsibilities / being held accountable for one's actions with a swift ass kicking. Maybe that is just me.

I personally support Carl's tough decision to give that kid a face full. I agree that the kid with the shotty was up to no good.
