He couldn't use a rear sight aperture with the stock in the collapsed position anyway. The knife in the forward grip support hand is quite effective for improved accuracy as well. Must be some new modified Magpul grippage.

That scene irritated me. Granted, those soldiers aren't used to seeing a ton of people, but I have a hard time imagining that they would have been snuck up on that easily, let alone picked off in seconds with guys with AK's and at least one MP5 from 200-300 yards away, ALL without getting a single shot off. The Governor would have been dead at the very least.
