Apophis is 835 feet long and could hit the earth at over 20,000 miles per hour. The government has in its possession a space craft capable of changing Apophis orbit. Apophis won't hit Colorado. It's orbit would most likely hit the earth in the Caribbean region, you can write off Florida and alot of the east coast of the USA. If it doesnt hit there it will impact somewhere between California and Hawaii.
When I first started watching this list of "Potentially Hazardous Asteroids" the count was 404, now it is over 1200.

If the asteroid impacts the earth, it will be in 2036. I will be an old man.
