    Default CB radio test

    Hey.
I just picked up a cb for my car from Craigslist. I can hear conversations but get no reply to requests for a radio check. The display shows I am transmitting but I cannot verify.
Anyone in the Thornton area have a CB and be willing to meet me somewhere for a quick test?
I have not done anything to tune the antenna and don't have a SWR meter to do so but I would think someone should be able to hear me.
Please drop me a PM if you would be willing and able to help me out.

    Thanks
    Bob

Wish I had mine set up so we could test together.

I know you guys do not want to wait a week but my car has one in it and can do a test when I get back into town or I just happen to work on Semi's and have a SWR tester I work tomorrow and Saturday let me know if you guys want a quick test.

Without a SWR you could be transmitting 1% or less of the signal. Transmitting too long like that is bad.

I need to fix this on my Jeep, actually, I'll add a SWR meter to my cart on amazon.

That would be great! (since I don't know what the hell I'm doing anyway)
Let me know when you have some time and I'll bring the beer.
    Thanks
