You may have a tough time finding someone that you can trust and get the gun back to you this year... There is an active member here that most speak highly of...

I live in Longmont I saw a sign yesterday for a gunsmith at 9th and Main (NE corner, E of the diamond shamrock) beyond the sign, I know nothing.
There's a guy (forget the name) on Sunset, south of 119 and west of the road (in that industrial area), but again, never been.
the guy out on I-25 and about CR18 sucks.
I take my stuff to BP Tactical.
worth the drive (120th and I-25)
quick, competent and more than reasonable price wise.

I've heard from several people that BP Tactical is great. If you don't want to travel, there is a fairly new shop called Bison Arms, that does gun smith work, on the west side of Main, south of the Butterball factory (sorry, I'm not from Longmont - just visit occasionally).
Ive only talked to BP and not had work done, but I know him to be a good person who does great work.
I drive to Longmont from Denver several times a week. Its not that far. Plus the weather is nice right now! The drive would be relaxing!
Isn't High Country just outside of Longmont?
