Youtube removing anti Muslim/Sharia videos

Well, if YouTube is actively removing anti-Muslim videos, they gotta lotta work to do. I searched "Islam Sucks" and 7 pages of some very graphic anti-Islam stuff came up.

What were the reasons the video was taken down? Youtube doesn't have people who sit there and monitor videos, it's all done via notices. Either users flag it, or a lawyer (or anyone who knows what the deal is) sends a "DMCA Takedown Notice" saying, "We are the copyright owners for this, and don't wish it seen." They have to make that statement under oath, and at that point YT rips it down for infringing, with a notice saying such.

The other reason would be it was flagged by viewers, and went to low paid people in their content reponse business, who have a set of rules to follow, such as "Does this video depict violence" or who know what their conditions are. If it fails there it should have a notice of such.

It's far too easy (and too common) for all sides to blame Google for being censorship, which it's following the guidelines laid down either by the government or it's own corporate policy. If you find that their corporate policy specifically says, "Ignore bad press about Mooslems", then you have a news story. Otherwise you just have a sensationalist story designed to stick it to the man and/or garner news attention.

The other side of the coin is subjects like Scientology will be systematically flagged for DMCA violation, even when there is none. Fringe groups, from Muslims to White Supremacists use "Get out the (Internet) Vote" campaign to go and upvote/flag/downvote/report/ballot stuff all across the intertubes. There's a reason why Ron Paul always wins every internet poll ever, and it isn't due to a higher concentration of R.P. voters online.

Mopar is absolutely right. That was in Dearborn, MI. What's going to happen if/when there is an "Arab Festival" here? Not that it's the apocolypse, but they want us all dead or converted to Islam. That is a fact. This is why we train.

I'm pretty tolerant of others beliefs, even though I'm a big Atheist, for instance I do say and believe "under god" should be in the pledge, but these fucking people make me draw a line.
