Well, thanks for the good wishes but just wasn't meant to be I guess. The slot machines killed me so I sat at the roulette table for a while. Didn't have much luck there either but played for quite a while on $100 and walked away with $135. Had the buffet at the Ameristar. Stuffed myself like a teddy bear.

Roulette is a House odds game, the house wins.
Craps you can win on many different variables. Last time we went to Ameristar I won 850.
I lay down 50, or 100 and when I chip up to my original I pull my $ out and play on the house.
In Vegas in April I won about 4k overall.
Get you a dvd on table games it will help you.

I wanted to learn craps but I think my brain is too full to learn new stuff. I swing the odds in my favor at the roulette table with my own system for betting but it really limits the amount I can win. But it does let me sit there for hours and have free drinks.

How many points do you like to cover and do you back with full odds? I've never played craps live but I have been testing a betting system for about 3 months online. I started with $1000 in funny money and after 300 rolls of the dice I'm up to $1450 in funny money. My thinking is that if I were playing this system live while I would not have won much money overall, the comps would be huge. Probably would have already received several comped rooms and tons of food.

I bet $5 on the pass line and back with 2x odds. I then make a come bet of $5 and also back it with 2x odds and then a 2nd come bet backed 2x odds. Then I stop betting until I 7 out or hit one of my points. If I do I make another come bet to keep 3 points covered at all times. With 3 points covered I have $45 in play at any given time.

Next time you head up to Black Hawk to play craps let me know.

ahh...the risky bets. The math on my system is 0.061% which equates to $0.60 in the house's favor for every $100 I put in play. Still let me know next time you're headed up. If I had the stones to take max odds at some of the Vegas casinos you can bring it down to $0.18 for every $100 in play.
