    Default name that round

I am cleaning out a bunch of stuff that has accumulated its way into my collection over the years and have a couple of questions.

Can I blow out my 38 long colt ammo through a 357 revolver? Can't see why but thought maybe someone might know why I shouldn't

I have run across some rounds that I can't find a marking on. They are the same diameter as 32 auto rounds but the brass is about 1.75 times as long.
Any clue what it is? I was hoping to save myself the headache of searching for it.

This is a pic. 38-40 on the left, unknown in the middle and 32 auto on the right.

I'm still trying to figure out how I ended up with over 1500 rds of the 38-40. I really don't remember having anything in that caliber. Not to mention that I found 700 rds of 45-70 I didn't know I had.

Plus I found a couple of rounds marked 357 SLR. These are about 1/8 of an inch longer than a 357 round. Not sure about those. Guess I need to break out the reloading manuals.

Found a few hundred 12ga paper hulls. Probably throw those up on the cowboy shooter forum.

Found the treasure chest finally. 4 20mm cans of 50bmg ammo as well as two footlockers of reloading supplies and my 50bmg press. For some reason I thought I had traded that stuff away a few years back.

That would be my guess too

    On the other side note:
That SLR is probably a 351SLR instead of 357SLR
    Never heard of the 357SLR

    351SLR
The Winchester Model 1907 as the only arms chambered for this cartridge. You are looking at a 180 grain bullet traveling about 1850 fps. Hope that helps.
Those cartridges sell for $100 a box of 50 when you can find them (old ones- Rem and Win-Western)

Those 38 Long Colt shouldn't chamber in a 357mag unless you do a lot of pushing and distorting. If fires they could cause really high pressure.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I dunno...that middle round definitely isn't a .32mag cuz there's no rim. It looks more like a .30carbine to me.
