Any Plant/Process Operators out there?
Hey!
I have an interview with Shell next week for a Process Operator position. Any tips on the interview? It has been a long time since I have had a formal interview. I was in IT prior to going back to school for Process Technology and most of my jobs were gained through my reputation and through people I had previously worked with. I find it somewhat difficult to "toot my own horn" (my references do a great job though ; ) but I'll do my best.
I am very excited to get the opportunity to interview. I still have 2 quarters to get my degree but the reason I am in school is to get a Process Operator job.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Interviewing is a skill that requires practice. Have a friend grill you on the various questions you'll think you'll receive and practice practice practice. Preparation is key, do your best to find out everything you can about the job in question. Wear a suit and tie. Show up 10 minutes early, best to be parked in the lot 20 minutes prior to give yourself time to compose and focus. Remember to smile, it goes a long way.
Good luck.
