You lost me on that one Mick.???????????????????
If you are referring to a gun show NOT allowing CCW while the show is open to the public, I don't know of ANY gun show that will allow CCW in their hall/auditorium while the show is in progress.....All of the gun shows that I am familiar with do not allow any loaded guns with the exception of those of their Security people and Police officers.

    I get you.

I just prefer not to give my money to organizations, especially a supposedly pro 2nd Amendment organization that refuses (or tries to refuse) it's patrons the right to carry. There are plenty of other places I can take my business so I vote with my wallet. I'm not saying it makes a big difference. But hypocrisy annoys me.

Mick, I very seriously doubt if the gun show people (promoters/hosts) are opposed to CCW, it's just that they don't want loaded guns in the hall/auditorium. If I remember correctly, at a gun show in Denver or maybe Tulsa, OK, there was a CCW guy who carried in loaded and wanted to buy a holster. He removed his loaded pistol at the holster table and while clearing it, the damn thing went off. I don't know any more about the circumstances but it was definitely an undesirable discharge, unwanted discharge, accidental discharge or what ever you want to call it.
If you absolutely refuse to patronize a gun show only because they won't allow you to carry a LOADED firearm into the gun show, and you refuse to clear it prior to entering the show, I believe that the promoters will probably not really miss YOUR admission money.
Hey, rules are rules and they have that particular rule probably due to some very strong insurance requirements. Sorry you feel that way and will certainly miss seeing you at the gun show.

Again, I'm not saying it makes a big difference.

My perspective is that an organization that claims to support the 2nd as long as no one has a loaded gun at their event (again, hypocrisy bothers me) shouldn't be supported.

And a concealed weapon isn't much good if it isn't LOADED.

Well, we are not allowed to carry into many Federal offices/properties but we still pay our taxes to support those facilities.
Also can't carry on planes or trains but our taxes still support them. If we want to fly, we have to comply with their rules and the TSA is there to make certain the passengers are in compliance. Would be some mighty long tiring trips via motor highway vehicle if we decide not to patronize the commercial carriers because of their firearms regulations. Yes, these are totally different situations but still are similar..IMHO

And I try to go into those as infrequently as I can too.
