Default CCW Instructors who will work in smaller groups?

I currently have my CCW and my wife and I discussed her getting one. I personally would like her to be in a smaller class and not with 40+ people sitting there listening to a lecture. We have worked with shotguns, handguns, my AR, and we will be doing some revolver work soon. She is still a novice as she probably has 500-600 rounds total down range, but I have worked hard with her on finger, and muzzle control, as well as the firearm safety rules. Who on here is an instructor who will work in a 4-8 person class? I am also curious if I could sit in with her just so she has a familiar face! If not I completely understand.

I would rather support a CO-AR15 person over someone else. We live in Littleton and I would like to have her papers in before January when I leave for the academy.

    Thanks
    Joe

A friend of mine is an instructor and teaches tactics and all that other fun stuff. It's not just some lecture with a slide show, but real-life scenarios, qualification, and that sort of stuff. I haven't taken a class yet (since I took one elsewhere), but after talking with a student and him about it, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I look forward to taking his class when I have the money.

His class size is usually 6-8 and is Friday night and Saturday (including range time).

    Default NRA Certified Instructor

I offer an NRA Basic Pistol class that meets the CO training requirements for CCW. I limit my classes to a maximum of 10 students, and probably average six people. I have regularly scheduled classes once per month in Colorado Springs, and I do discount the price for COAR-15 members from $125 to $100. I would be ok with you sitting in on the class, as long as you understand that you will not receive a completion certificate, and you would have to pay your own range fees if you want to shoot.

My next scheduled class is September 17, 2011 at 0700.

Please feel free to call or email me if I can help you. I will also do private classes for an additional charge.

Jim Torrez of the "Tactical skills institute" teaches a fine CCW class in my opinion. A person gets to fire a fair amount of ammunition and all of it while drawing from a holster. Google will find him for you.

If you get a chance, take Jim up on his offer. I took his class and was very pleased. My father also took the same class and was very happy with it as well.

If you want a class from someone local, my buddy Scott is an instructor. His handle on here is Squeeze, PM him for details.

Most in the USPSA/IDPA circles will know him.
    Most PDs know him
I have been on his range training and had law enforcement officers come in for training for their qualifications
He trained me and the wife, On his private range, One on One, no sitting around reading the book in some classroom. (I retrain as a refresher)

    Awesome instructor.
