Well, I was hopeing for a warm euphoric wave of goodness to envelope me. But I guess that only works for liberal nut jobs that are saving the planet. I'll be satisfied at trying to do the right thing.

There's a guy on here that goes by "Caplock" I think. I met him last summer doing brickwork on the entrance to the park I live at. He said the illegal workforce is hurting him big time. As already stated here I would absolutely go with him on a skilled trade job before I went the cheap route. Just saying

I had a guy come out to quote refinishing my hard wood floors. He seemed like a good knowledgeable guy so I hired him. The day that the work was supposed to begin 4 mexicans showed up and only one spoke any English. I was not pleased with the end result. What did I learn? Always ask if they will be doing the work themselves or bringing in a "home depot" crew.
I need a new roof on my house, I have the insurance check and the ok to commence with the work. I have had 5 roofing contractors give me bids and not one has been able to guarantee me that their crews are composed of lawful aliens with work visa's or residents.Originally Posted by OneGuy67

This is where it starts people. If we as citizens refuse to do business with firms that employ illegal workers the business owners will get the hint (hopefully).
