    If the coins are in circulated condition, they are called "junk" silver, and you can buy/sell them like this all day long on ebay at or around the current value from this site (which someone already posted) :

    I like Dave's Gold and Silver exchange on Broadway in Denver. He's a nice guy and I always felt like he treated me fair. I don't care much for Rocky Mountain Coin 2 doors down or the other guy right next door, but I don't have any negative reports about them. Just not as personable as Dave's been to me.

    My understanding is that you have to pay sales tax on bullion you buy at a store in Denver. I've had great luck with Rocky Mountaina Coin, in Greenwood Village on Arapahoe (no tax).

    Yeah, there is a tax thingie regarding Denver, butI couldn't remember the details. I've also dealt with a shop in Littleton on Littleton Blvd. and I remember there's a difference in their pricing and Dave's because of the taxes.
