Default What are silver coins worth

I am wondering what pre 1964 coins are worth in bulk. I am not looking or asking for a particular coin, just the overall price of pre 1964 bulk coins. And who might give the most for it.

    Thanks

This is just an uneducated guess, but I bet they are worth more for the silver content that the actual value of the coin right now. If you weigh the coins and look at the current market value for silver you should be in the ballpark as far as a value. But please get better advice from someone who knows more than me before you sell them.

when buying us silver coins 64 and earlier , a fair price is 26-30 x face value . when selling a fair price is 28-34 x face . but the best way is to buy at melt - 1 or 2 bucks . the real problem is a lot of people are charging for the coin (as a collectable ) + silver price . this is ok if the coin is minty fresh (ms 62 or better ) , but you had best be into the coin or you will feel ripped off . if and when your interested in buying junk silver (as silver not as a collectable coin) pm me and ill get you a fair price .

The following website will give you an indication of the worth based upon the weight and the current price of silver:

I recieved a few coins, and some confederate bills after my great grandmother passed away, and am super curious to what they are worth, but am scared to have them looked at by someone in fear that they may try to take me for a ride. Anyone have suggestions to who could do this in the springs, and be trusted??

They won't be able to take YOU for a ride since you are not obligated to sell them to anyone. I'd sure have them looked at/checked and priced by more than one potential buyer. I believe Alex will agree with me on this.
