Default NatGeo kicks off Remembering 9/11 week...

Anyone have this channel? Man, last night was just amazing the stuff they had on, but most importantly they had the exclusive George W. Bush 9/11 interview. It was a very good program and what W said was a far cry from the ignorance that the liberal media liked to paint him as. Like him or not, you have to respect the way he handled that day and the following days. He spoke about what he was thinking when Andy Card broke ranks and whispered into his ear "Sir, a second plane has hit the World Trade Center, America is under attack." Well put together and it made me proud to have voted to re-elect him (since I was too young to vote for him the first time).

Perhaps one of my favorite parts was when he spoke about his trip two days after to ground zero and as he stood speaking to the mass of workers there a guy kept saying "we can't hear you." He told about how the megaphone couldn't go any louder, he was caught off guard, then said "I can hear you, the rest of the world can hear you, and the people who did this will soon hear us!" Bravo, Mr. President.
But for discussion sake, do you guys think anyone else could have done such a great job with such a huge tragedy? He had a big job to do, one that he didn't want (to be a wartime president) and I feel he did masterfully that day and the following days- examples include him maintaining his composure in front of the children and putting them first after hearing the news, his desire despite the danger to return to Washington, and his overall comforting, grieving, and vow for justice... among so many other things he did right those long days. Also, I didn't know until watching the interview that he was interrupted before going to bed on 9/11 because an F-16 patrolling DC on approach to Andrews AFB had the wrong transponder signal and made everyone think it was another plane controlled by terrorists... Talk about a shitty way to end a very shitty day.

It's all good... I shot like shit, I think I have a problem with the sights on my Glock, I was shooting way low all afternoon... but with the AR I shot out the red on the targets at 25M.

Damn, I'll be in Vegas for Labor Day- gone from Sun until Tues. But soon we should get something together soon, maybe one day after work this week if your schedule permits.
Also, the program on Saddam was pretty neat. I kept telling my mom "See, is that enough reason alone to go to war with him? Or do the libs need something else?"

Yeah the one on Saddam was really good. I'm down to shoot this week after work, just give me a heads up and I can come to work strapped lol. I really can't wait to shoot my new 1911, even though I'm the only one that likes it.

Ps sorry about screwing the pooch on shooting this past weekend.
