Yeah, I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I do all the time. When I catch myself doing it I try to remember that it could always be worse. That's the nice thing about being deployed, besides to opportunity to kill terrorists, is that it helps keep things in perspective when you're back in the states.

Oh I know exactly what you mean... you come home and people complain about this and that and you just want to scream! I did the third day on post-deployment leave, a friend complained about something involving showers and I just blew my top: "Here showers are a fucking luxury! How about going two weeks without a shower, without a real toilet, and your one hot meal a day was cooked on a makeshift grill!"

It's not entirely all-expenses paid, it's not that much salary, and I didn't get the chance to see the pink mist (close on two occasions but no cigar)... and when you miss about 2 weeks worth feet and doodoo start to be a step up from your current odor.
