From FoxNews and the NYT:

The Obama administration has issued talking points for officials in observance of the tenth anniversary of the Sept 11, 2001 terror attacks.

One of them is to “minimize references to Al-Qaeda.”
Another talking point instructed American officials overseas to seek to universalize the commemorative day by noting: “We honor all victims of terrorism, in every nation…whether in New York or Nairobi, Bali or Belfast, Mumbai or Manila, or Lahore or London.”
They just can't come out and say "The US was attacked by Muslim extremists on Sept 11, 2001." Even the state department briefer discussing the guidelines referred to the date as "nine one one."
At the same time, Obama administration officials caution that public commemorations here should not cast the United States as the sole victim of terrorism, an argument underscored by killings and maimings from extremist attacks overseas.
Yeah? I don't recall any other countries being attacked on 9/11. Do you?

Fucksticks. I really, really dislike this president and those that defend his administration. Really.
