I was a crappy driver with bald Wal-mart tires and an open diff. Zero suspension mods.

I was just happy to beat all the stock Vettes at the time. Never did get to race a ZO6 though. This was back when they were a lot slower than they are now, maybe back in 2002 or 2003? That car sure was fun though. All the RWD guys that trapped around 106ish mph, were running 12.8.
I am sorry bro but I have a 1992 integra and it would take alot more than a giant turbo to put that car into a 15 sec 1/4 mile, so I dont know if you are blowing smoke, or some one else is to you but that is another on I would like to see.

Are you serious with this? If you are, then it tells me you know absolutely nothing about what you speak. Your elapsed time DOES NOT start until you break the beams!!!!! You can sit there for a day, it will not change the outcome of your ET.

I must admit, your posts are extremely entertaining however! LOL.

    Wow.

Oh, here is a link that might help clear things up for you. Sixth paragraph down explains how the timer does not start until the cars BREAK THE BEAMS lol. http://www.nhra.com/nhra101/basics.aspx

Atrain, this guy knows more about cars and drag racing than you do! Everything he is saying makes sense. It adds up. Your stories, sound like just that. His power to weight ratio, along with his trap speeds all add up. Before I started doing anything to my car, other than a cold air intake, tune, and gears it ran 14.2 @ 99mph all day long. Both of those numbers add up pretty well. I had crappy 60' times of 2.1 or 2.2 most of the time because I ran it on street tires. On some stickies, it probably would have ran in the high 13's. A "true" 12 second car up here is respectable....is it FAST? No, not really. Not anymore. Up here, right now, a full weight production vehicle that runs deep in to the 11's, or in the 10's is considered pretty damn fast.

Yeah cause you know what I know, it is not like I come from a long line of mechanics and racers, Stories you know how many stories and guys I have put down that thought there car was fast. The last time I had a guy in a ford probe try to race me that said he had a 12 second car, he backed out when he seen my time slip, I have put up pictures of my car and what is under the hood, all I hear from you guys is stories, and as far as you guys coming in and saying I never stop all I did was post some pictures of my ride, I did not say anything about anyone elses car until they started in, but thats all I have to say, the car is at the KBPI car show every year 3 bucks a race you guys can come beat my Cutlass all day.

Have you ever even been on a track? yeah reaction time has nothing to do with getting a faster time. I will see you at the track if you even have a race car and show up.

Did you even bother to read the link? Reaction time pertains to you, and the other vehicle you are racing. It has nothing to do with your own, personal elapsed time! Man, you just don't get it do you? lol.

Upon leaving the staging beams, each vehicle activates an elapsed-time clock, which is stopped when that vehicle reaches the finish line.

I'll tell you all about my car if you want to know. I can post up time slips, and videos. You did post pics of your car, but you also talked about how "you've never seen a set of tail lights" and how people don't even want to race you when they hear the earth shaking as you approach them lol. All I did was give you a friendly call out. I'll run you any time, any place. I'll tell you right now, if you can't run a mid to low 12, don't bother wasting your "race gas" lol.

Post some pics Twinscrew- I'm curious now as to how this thread will turn out. Atrain is not very easy to deal with- as he has "forgot more than you'll ever know". That unfortunately seems to be his attitude in all things.
