North end Serious is the original. Used to be a trailer. I've lived nearly next door to it since they started.

scubabri, let me know if you need about 170lbs of ballast in the right seat of that King Air ever!

I wish I could take passengers along, but alas, the company frowns on it and I'd hate to lose my job and have to move someplace more crowded

Welcome to the site. Durango has a lot of good stuff going for it, but it's quickly turning into a liberal haven with their anti-gun, etc. attitudes.

Stoked to be here for sure, but I will admit, winter has me spooked.

Let's see - BBQ. While I don't think it's as good as back home (I'm from KC MO), we have a Rudy's here in the Springs (yes, part of the same chain, not a knock-off). It's the best BBQ we have in the Springs these days. If you ever find yourself on this side of the state you'll have to stop in and satisfy your cravings.

Now, winter... Definitely get some sort of a 4WD vehicle - safety first, but it could be the difference of you being able to get in to work to fly that Flight For Life and NOT being able to make it to work. (BTW: Flight For Life - very cool and noble career!) No matter what you are driving, find an large & open (no other vehicles nearby) parking lot and practice driving/stopping once the snow does start falling. Now, don't go pulling doughnuts and acting nuts and the local LEO's shouldn't give you a hard time.
