I am disgusted that our post exchanges are allowing this. Why don't they just open up a gay porn video section while they're at it, or even a gay spa. We are behind many other leading nations in allowing gay service members to serve openly. Military leaders are not banging their heads against the wall. For the most part, those serving don't care. It seems to me that those not in the military are making a big deal out of this. I for one don't care and I know it won't affect the ability of our military.

Not a homophobe, I am just happy there is a place I can go and its not in my face, I wont watch TV unless it is a hunting channel, outdoor channel, discovery channel etc. I won't watch any local TV channels in the evening anymore. I don't think I should have to explain two men or two women kissing to my 11yo. I am moving to the mountains....

Gays in general: F*cking disgusting and absolutely wrong IMO, but as long as you aren't in my face about it or hitting on me or anything we won't have a problem.

Fuck! The little devil just appeared in a poof of smoke on my shoulder. Sorry mcantar, I have to do it... Why oh why do people always use the tired and cliche'd "I have no problem with gays until they hit on me"? Have you ever been hit on by a gay? I have, yes it's a little uncomfortable the first time, but if you respectfully inform them you're not gay and not interested then usually* they stop and leave you alone. I knew a few gays during my tenure in the Army and really didn't have a problem with them. They never let it hurt unit cohesion or morale, they never over stepped their bounds, and they really didn't rub it in our faces. Do I agree with their lifestyle? No, but I try to prescribe to a live and let live with homosexuality, even if it annoys me when they stand on their soap box and scream how proud they are of being the way they are. We already are the laughing stock of the Western Military realm, they wonder why it took us so long to open up and let them serve openly, such as France, Czech Republic, UK and Aus. that allow gays to openly serve.
(*Usually is a loose term because I for one have had them try to relentlessly pursue me and then I throw in the threat of physical violence to make them back off.)

Am I the only one that doesn't give a big, fat, gay rat's ass about what foreign military members thank or our armed forces? Especially the French or most any other European country.
