Actually, no. That was all from S. A. Marshall, Ben Shalit, Ardant du Picq, and others, and Lt. Col. Dave Grossman's studies that put everything together. Those numbers are real... almost unbelievable, until you dig deeper and understand the psychology and human nature behind it. Pretty interesting, eye opening stuff. You should check out Grossman's books "On Killing" and "On Combat."
The scary thing is that media violence (graphic video games, slasher movies, etc.) are desensitizing our society as a whole to violence and killing, removing the "safety catch." Without this safety catch its just a matter of having the right combination of external factors and bam, Johnny will kill. Take a fresh young gangbanger facing their initiation... they've been desensitized and conditioned by media and society and no longer have a very strong safety catch. Then the external factors of an authority figure making a strong demand for them to kill (the gang leader they're trying to impress), group anonymity and accountability (as opposed to individual responsibility), creating distance between them and their target (dehumanizing them or demoralizing their cause) and other factors all come together like the perfect storm to enable him to make that first kill.

Oh, I can think of a few trillion reasons the Chinese won't invade.

I work in grease industry and it is true that there is plenty of oil and natural gas in Canada and the U.S. Actually lots in Mexico, too, but they are very incompetent in pulling it out of the ground.

North Dakota has untapped oil reserves greater than Saudi. All of US has more than all of the Mid-east. If the EPA were nullified by 10th Amendment and/or Commerce clause, or any other means under the 2nd amendment, or a Constitutional Convention, by the States, the production issue would go away.

As an example of their idiocy, the EPA has declared hay to be a polluntant for ranchers and farmers. Although I think it is part of the communist plan to destroy all capitalism.

Holy crap we actually agree on something that is exactly what movies like house of 1000 corpses and saw do there is no point just unnecessary violence for us and our youth to be desensitized to the real thing, not many people I have come across are smart enough to see that.

Problem is that when the US dollar loses its reserve currency status we lose those few trillion reasons. That is when we will have to switch to guns.

P.S. Byte Stryke, It is good to see that you are back.

could be smart. Once we use up all the "cheap" oil...yes even at todays prices. we will have some of the most sought after resource known to man. We will use some ourselves and work our way to get off dependency, and could sell the rest to china for oh...100 million a barrel! or just give them the rights to it (with very strict restrictions) and write off all our debt.
