    Default 79 750 E running issue

I have a 750 E that will run with the choke pulled but as soon as it pushed in just a little bit it dies. Went thru the carb and cleaned all the varnish out of the jets has new fuel cleaned the plugs etc. I am at a loss any ideas?

Plugs are super black not white like a vacumn leak can not get it to idle to check for leaks on the main fuel air circuit. Nothing obvious though

I would assume compression is good? Not fighting a broken intake valve spring or something stupid?

90% of the time, I answer the phone, but if my shop monkey picks up, just ask for Jim.

If it runs stupid rich(as it should on choke), then dies when you take it off choke, you probably still have some blockage in the pilot circuits, or you just need to bring the curb idle speed up some. Does it still have points, or has it been converted to electronic ignition? I stock the conversion kits, and recommend them, but I can still get points as well. Check the timing/point gap at a minmum.

It is still points. I have a book for an 1100 will the specs still be about the same?

And ray it ran a couple months ago but do not know why it quit does not sound like any noise in the top end.

I set timing and point gap with a buzz box, using the manufacturers marks. The specs on an early 1000 or 1100 should be close enough to get it running.
