Default Broken shell, need some help

I have an empty shell stuck in my AR-15. I've tried to push it out with a cleaning rod without any luck. It is realy stuck. I've also tried to pry it out. Is there a tool or some way to remove a ruptured shell?

    Help

    there is a tool!

is the rear completely missing or is it just a stuck case?

if the base is there, a good solid cleaning rod and a BFH should do the trick

I've seen people tap on stuck cases witha cleaning rod.

Hopefully those with experience will chime in.

    Good luck!

let me see if i can find my .223 broken case extractor.
or use an easy out to reverse (unscrew) it.

Its a Wolf shell and the back is intact. The case rim is bent where the extractor could'nt remove it. I've tried the cleaning rod and hammer without any luck (two broken cleaning rods). I cant seem to get to it with any sort of pliers to unscrew it.

Get something solvent-like soaking in to attack the wolf polymer (or lacquer) coating, whatever you have that is safe for the bore. Then after a while get a rigid rod in the muzzle and repeatedly tap, not driving railroad spikes, but just tap. A whole lot of little taps, just lean it up against the sofa and tap while watching TV.

I do have one of those extractor thingys too, but won't be back in the springs until late friday.

Turn the muzzle up. Pour a bunch (a spoonfull or two) of acetone or Kroil in there and let it soak. Get a solid brass rod, about 20 caliber. Use it for a punch.

Most likely the laquer coating has glued the case to the chamber walls.

Then, never buy wolf or any coated ammo again.

How much did Specialty Sports charge for the fix?
