    Default Purchasing A Gun Question

Mods, please move this if it's in the wrong thread.

I done got hitched, and moved. I changed my address with my CCW issuing county, and have also turned in my change of address form with the DMV. With my new address written on the back of my DL, would there be any issue of purchasing a gun from an FFL if the new address hasn't been entered into the database?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most places will tell you that you must have a State issued ID with the current address PRINTED on the FRONT of the ID.
Sportsmans accepted my CCW with the new addy on the front and a DL with the Change written on the back...

    YMMV

I had a new address from the one on my license during my last gun purchase. I gave them my car registration with updated address and it was no problem.

How about your vehicle registration? I went to buy a shotgun and don’t have a license with my new address on it. They asked if my vehicle registration had my new address, which it did, and took that instead.

No dice on two accounts. My CCW is from Weld, which does not print addresses on them. My car is currently registered to my parents, which is the old address on my DL.

If the place (or somewhere around there for the matter) sells fishing licenses I know for a fact you can buy a stamp (habitat I think) for five bucks and use that.

5280... my brother's friend bought a gun there with his old address on the front of his DL, and the new address just on a sticker on the back. They had no problem with it.

My DL has been that way for over 5 years. Never had a problem with it. I just have the current on the back side incase the popo get pissy on a traffic stop. I've purchased from dozens of FFL's in the metro area with no mention of it.

Just bought a new .44 mag at 5280 and they didn't seem too bothered by mine. My new address was written on the back but has since worn all most all the way off. Didnt even question it, although Im not sure it matters anyway.
