    Default Sw M&p

Did I miss something? It seams like every one is going too the M&P. Every tactical course I have seen, has the instructors using them. Adds for tactical has M&P's in pouches. I see cops carrying them. I feel like I really missed out on something and I almost want to buy one just to see if it is any good. But then where would I be. Is it time to sell my 1911's and get another polymer gun? Are they that much better then Glocks and XD's? Ok seriously I would never sell any 1911 and get a polymer. But there is something going on here and I need to know what it is.

Quite simple- they are imho the best polymer-frame pistol out there.

Second that. I really like my M&P 40c. Accurate, good trigger, but the thing that really sets it apart for me is the ergonomics. Very comfortable in the hand, and it points very naturally.

I wish there was a dedicated competition model, like Glock has in the 34? Long-slide, etc from the factory. There are also very few add-ons avail for the M&P. I have purchased aluminum base-pads from 10-8, may or may not get the Apex trigger kit, recently found a serviceable magwell from Smart-Lock Technology, also ordered a KKM barrel from Brownells. There really isn't much more out there for the gun.

Check out the M&P 9L or the Pro model.....I believe the barrel length is 5 inches on both, and the Pro comes with fiber optic sights.

    Nice....I didn't know they made a Pro series M&P with a 4.25 in. barrel.

I was thinking of this one:

Seems like it'd be good for competition.

I would get one but the 45c in tan does not come without a safety!!! I am sick of black guns.

I have considered buying the 9L as well. Still not very many add-ons avail, nor a true competition model. The 9L Pro series is as close as they have at this time.

I want in on the "M&P is awesome" thread, too! I have a 45 with the apex competition trigger and I love it. As a lefty I really like these guns. The ergonomics happen to fit me very well. They've proven first hand to be very reliable across the board. There's a variety of models to choose from. They're just...good. The compact model is also the only clear choice for me* when I get a carry gun. I'm a big (tall with larger hands) guy and I've never held a compact gun that fit me nearly as well.

*Remember I said for me. Your experience may vary.
