I graduated from Heritage in 96 and my Daughter started her Freshmen year there this year. It has sure changed in 15 years since I was there even.

I graduated from Heritage in '87. I haven't been back there yet, but my son started school at Goddard Middle School last year. It's changed quite a bit since '82. It was strange to think that a teacher could have started teaching there after I left, worked their entire career there and have retired since I went to school there.

That's funny-I went to Goddard Middle myself 74-76 IIRC. Skateboarding down the "Berry Hill"-suicide mission!
I had Roller Skating as an elective class when Skate City first opened, every Tuesday and Thursday we walked down the hill and through the fields to the rink.

Alxone, you're my friend but this is a whiney ass thread. You natives will sit around and bitch about Texans and Californians moving in but you would just sit by and let every fucking wetback move in and not say a word. Not only would you not say a word, you would give them the keys to the State.

You guys should be happy about the Texans and Californians that are here, without them Colorado would be just one big fucking wortheless ass Boulder.

If Texas and California had not brought the money in that they brought, do you guys have any idea how bad this recession would have been? Colorado had it very easy through all of this because of the very things you guys are bitching about.

This thread has taken a tone.

I'm a native, I like conservative imports. Unfortunately the imports I like are outnumbered 5 to 1 if you count the 3rd world shithole illegals.

Wow! What did you do at the end of the hill?

Where I lived in Oregon we had a hill like Berry hill, except about 3 times longer with a decent tail out at the bottom. One of the guys on our street decided to ride his bike down it one day. He didn't tell anyone he was going. Someone found him in the ditch on the side of the road unconscious and beat to hell after he wrecked his bike.

I'm not guilty of a damned thing.

I spent 9 months in Colorado and paid state taxes to CO, even though I'm not a resident. I also spent ~$30k of my hard earned money that went into businesses that supported the local economy.

The whole time I was there people sneered at me when they heard my Southern drawl, or saw my Texas plates. I say 'yes, ma'am', 'no, sir', open doors for women, help people on the side of the road change their tires and a smile at strangers. More people got pulled out of ditches between Denver and Leadville by my dually than I can count.

When someone implies Colorado is going to shit because of me, sorry, but I'm going to correct them.

The good old days are gone and the future is what you make of it. Do something about it, or STFU.
