    Wooden spoon here.

My mom must have bought out the factory when I was little. She literally had one in every room of the house, both cars, and her purse.

    I was....uh.....stubborn....

My mom didn't believe in spanking me- she had slapped me across the face a few times for talking back though.
    No...
my mom believed in telling my dad, then he'd put the fear of god into me and my brother. My mom had always told us of the switch stories from her youth, and so my grandparents (maternal) would always threaten to go get a switch if we didn't behave. They never did actually use them, but all the stories from mom made us believe they would.

My father never once hit me out of anger or punishment. Never had to as I feared him like no other and to this day I have no idea how I feared someone whom loved me so much.

my children are not well behaved, they are well threatened.

they would never consider acting out in a public place

they often look at other children and wonder how their parents would permit that kind of action in a restaurant etc.

I still remember the time I laughed when my mom spanked me. Back hand to the side of the head little old woman had some spunk in her yet.

I usually got whacked with my dad’s leather belt. But if no belt or no dad my mom would use whatever she could grab.
