The thing I've noticed in the last few years is that the "internet tough-guy" is bleeding over into real life too.

i was talking to someone about this the other day . it turns out that most folks have never been punched in the face . then i realized thats why everyone is so rude.

I'm almost 30, 28 still, and I have been punched in the face a bunch, I was a dumb kid, and I mean DUMB. My wife thinks I'm awful polite now, hell check my feed back, you can see, people agree, all those beatings made me the man I am today. Thanks, Stuart, Mirza, Omhead (hell if I know how to spell this dudes name, but my split lip scar will never forget you O'Mead), Owen, Jess and Pat, you guys were great for really letting me know I was a turd. Oh and Ben, I still have to get that tooth put back together.

I made the "punched in the face" comment only partially in jest. There is a large and growing segment of the population that has never been forced to learn that there are consequences for the words they choose to speak. They think "freedom of speech" means they can run their mouth with impunity.

Stop holding people accountable and this is where it goes, and I don't think we're anywhere near the bottom yet. This kind of thing is going to get worse before it gets better.
