Agreed. If I had to get tested to work for a living, they need testing to do nothing. Although the public works thing is a great idea. Not like they could do a worse job than some gov't contractors...

And I take back what I said before. Thinking more about it, those london riots could happen here, they would start in LA, SF, NY, Denver, etc. You know, all the places with more restrictive gun laws for your protection!

Here, go fix roads, bridges, power lines, sewer, etc. We'd have enough to start a small government funded infrastructure repair company. They get paid, they are productive, and if they don't like the work (which I've done road crew work, it's not that hard) then they can actually get off their ass and find a better job! Problem fixed. And that, my friends, is how you kill 2 birds with one stone.

Did anyone notice how filthy her kitchen was ???? If she is sittin' at home waiting for her check, how come she ain't got the time to clean the filth. \

My job brings me in contact with many of these people. Most smell like grease and cigarettes and pot. You would not beleive how many of these welfare suckers can afford a doctor to get a pot card and then have the money to get pot from a dispensary.

Oh wait a minute... It's us workin' folks that pay for their pot Dr. and their pot. I do not have anything against pot, just the assmonkeys that get it with my tax money.

Not to mention the current form of welfare, Disabilty for mental reasons. You would not beleive the amount of bottom feeders that get a disability check for all kinds of lame diagnosis'... A large number of them can work...

It's funny to me... When I lost my job last year I was denied any assistance and I have bills out the wazoo. Somehow, I managed to survive... Oh yeah, I simply sold stuff I could and used all my savings and found odd jobs to do until something steady came along. That was the saving grace. Most people never start a savings because they must have that 55 inch tv or new car. Someday I WILL be debt free... At my current rate, I'll be 72 before it happens, but it WILL happen.


I say give the leeches a choice, work at a provided job, sell your stuff, or eat a bullet.

That being said, there are some geuine people who truly do need help, but that should be all done by the private sector, not the government. If you can't run your life, you shouldn't be able to live it, much less bring others into it with a low percentile of a chance for success.
