painted my 74 and put german furniture on it (besides the pistol grip) also painted my polish underfolder, yes jim, i straightened the front sight haha oh and the paint is brownels alumahide flat black the discoloring around the rivets on the polish uf is from fresh oil the paint came out nice and even.

Thanks guys, the under fiolder is my "polished turd" build from before, 99 dollar romy g with polish uf trunnions and stock with an arms of america american barrel. The 74 is one of the current apex kits it's the wood stock kit I think they are 155 with a what a country new bulgarian barrel. So not much more than 300 in the 74 build for the kit barrel compliance parts (not including the german folder and hg set that I had laying a®ound) so decent guns for the money if you ask me

I like it. Think my next AK will be a nice, clean "Red Russian". Although another underfolder would be fun, a full stock would really show off the furniture. First I need to finish my "tactical" AK, just waiting on a new pistol grip and possibly a re-finish in DuraCoat...
