US Representative Mike Coffman replied to my recent email regarding Obama's back-door amnesty attempts. Looks like the House is at least trying to do something about it. We really need to get a Republican majority in the Senate in 2012, regardless of who is elected as president.

Dear Mr. Xxxxx:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Obama Administration's policy to review deportation cases using prosecutorial discretion. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter and look forward to the opportunity to respond.

As you know, the news of the Administration's policy regarding deportation review has surprised many in Americans, including myself. This policy to use prosecutorial discretion as a back door means of granting amnesty to certain illegal immigrants has rightfully come under scrutiny from many Members of Congress. For this reason, Congressman Bilbray has drafted a letter that I have supported, criticizing this policy and calling for an immediate cessation of the practice.

Further, on previous occasions, President Obama and his administration have abused their discretionary power and provided backdoor amnesty to countless illegal aliens. The President has failed in his constitutional responsibility to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed," and his power to selectively enforce immigration statutes should be rescinded until a more capable executive can assume the responsibility that the American people demand.

For these reasons, I have also co-sponsored House Resolution 2497, the Hinder the Administration's Legalization Temptation Act (HALT Act) introduced by Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Congressman Lamar Smith. This legislation would suspend discretionary forms of immigration relief until January 21, 2013--the day after the next Presidential inauguration. If additional legislation on this matter comes to the House floor for a vote, I will keep your concerns in mind.

This is why the GOP presidential circus annoys me (and the corresponding high hopes that whomever we pick to take out Barry will set the entire nation back on the right path).

The REAL work is done in the legislature, all we really need in the whitehouse is a monkey in a suit that can sign his name.

Coffman is awesome about responding to issues. His aide called me not too long ago about the illegal working for the Washington Post that somehow was able to get into the White House during a state dinner using false documents. I'm glad some of our elected folks are listening. Obama still hasn't answered my letter asking him why he wants our nation to turn into a socialist cesspool.
