Started the day ready to replace all the heat tape under the house. I hate going under my house. The only thing I hate worse than going under my house is going under my house when it's cold. The high today was 40˚. That is better than January 1, when it was -20˚ and the heat tape from the main water line went out. New Years day was not fun.

Ok, heat tape gets done tomorrow.

Onto the next project, putting a new roof on the water closet. This is a three sheet job. No problem. First sheet the fog rolls in. Second sheet it starts raining on me. No, it was just raining on me! A three foot circle and dry beyond that. By the third sheet it was pouring and is still raining eight hours later.

I did get the plans for a new pressure tanks drawn up. The '70s vintage tank gets pulled tomorrow. Anyone want a target?

I'm betting on snow tonight.

This is where I'd normally say saomething to the effect of "Stay positive, it can always be worse" but in this case, I think i'd advise to just stay in bed all day. It sounds like the deck is stacked against you.

I was thinking it would have been more productive just surfing the interweb. What sucked the most is yesterday was the first day in about six weeks that something didn't come up.
