    Enlisted and took Basic at Camp Chaffee, AR, 6/55.
    Small Arms Repair School at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD 09/55 - 11/55
    Small Arms Repairman at Fort Riley, KS in 701st Ord. Bn, 1st Inf Dif 11/55-6/56.
    Package Liquor Store Manager in Army NCO club, Ladd AFB, Fairbanks, AK
    from 6/56 - 1/58. Yeah, and GOLD was right at $36 per oz back then in the Fairbanks pawn shops.
    Small Arms Repairman 1/58 - 3/58 at Fort Richardson, Alaska.
    Honorable discharge 3/58.

    Guess this shows that I am really an OLD Geezer and the M14's were not even issued yet! We did have the best battle rifle in the world though, the M1 Garand.

    If nothing else, it was a good experience in following orders and respecting authority. These wildass kids out in the world now days should give it a try!

    It was difficult to transfer from being an 11 Bang Bang to the nemesis, MP. But, luckily I haven't had to do any actual MP stuff on a post. Other than chicks in the unit, it hasn't been too different than some of the things I did as an 11B.

    2003- Present

    Basic at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, tech school at Hurlburt Field, FL, survival school at Fairchild AFB. Was at Ft. Hood for almost 7 years, been at Ft. Carson for almost a year.

    OIF - 2004 - Baghdad, Sadr City, Fallujah
    OEF - 05/06 - RC-S
    OIF - 06/07 - Mosul
    OEF - 2008 - RC-E
    OIF - 09/10 - Taji
    OEF - 11/Present - RC-S

    All of the deployments were about 6 months, some a little longer, some a little shorter.

    Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

    I'm gonna come right out and say JTACs are badass, and that's coming from a guy whos worked with green hatters for 6 years. No homo though.
