Guess this shows that I am really an OLD Geezer and the M14's were not even issued yet! We did have the best battle rifle in the world though, the M1 Garand.
If nothing else, it was a good experience in following orders and respecting authority. These wildass kids out in the world now days should give it a try!![]()
