This is one of the great things about shooting. I think we are on our way to getting a 65 yard silhouette match set up at Pawnee on the 24th. Best shot gets bragging rights.

Yes, poor shooters will be ragged on, but that's OK. Most of us don't know each other real well and many of us have never been out shooting together, so who knows what will happen. Not to mention, everyone has their good days and bad days.

We all like guns ( I hope). Most of us like to shoot Why not meet up and put some lead down range?

At the end of the day, we still won't know what we would do if we find ourselves across the street and down the block from a nut case at the IHOP, and I hope none of us ever has to find out. But we will have a better idea of what it is really like to draw and fire, from our EDC rig out to a distance that most of us would not regularly choose to practice.

I hope many of you can make it. I'm looking forward to poking some holes in paper.

That is the only place I really shoot, and the range in Nunn, that is a sunday I should be able to make it, I was going to go out today and try out my new carbine but I have been in bed since I got off work with the worse stomach pain I have ever had, I had it all day at work to. I wont get into the blood when I go #2. It is getting better so I hope I will be out there tomorrow.

September 24, 2011, is a Saturday, one week from today. I would assume we would start by 9:00 AM, however whatever works best for the group is fine by me.

Is this a private range, public range, or public land you are talking about? I see that Great Guns Sporting range is located in Nunn.

If we are going to shoot at an established range, someone needs to talk to the management about what they will and will not allow. Also there will be some type of cost involved. We would need to know that as well.

I was thinking of shooting on public land in Pawnee as that makes the cost more affordable for everyone.

    Thoughts? Anyone?

No pawnee is fine I was just saying those are the 2 places I shoot Great Guns does not really have any restrictions and they go out as far as 300 yards I think, I know the first Rifle range does not have a place for targets until you get to the 200 yard line. I think the pistol has 50 75 and up I cant remember.

For anyone interested, here is a link to the informal match. I'd like to see how many people are interested.
