    Welcome to the club.

    I am a native Texan and I never understood why people here hated Texans until I moved here and saw it from their perspective. Now I am a self-hating Texan [roll] . Wait until terrorist ski season comes, with you living in Idaho Springs you will know what it is all about. You gotta love people who leave their state to come visit to your state and will not shut up about how much better their state is.

    All that said Pistol Packing Preacher is right

    Welcome to THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STATE there is!!
    I love it here and once you get rid of those Texas plates it is a lot easier to be accepted. [wink]

    BTW, I had an old friend try to hire me for a job back in Texas and I told him he would have to double my salary to get me to move back.

    You want it bad? Be born in California and move here from Texas like me. :P

    Texans that move here seem to be just fine. Texans that use CO for a playground and don't show any respect to the citizenry (as a real visitor should) are what give them a bad name.

    I'm of the mindset "do as the locals do". So I wont' pull off any road to take pretty pictures. I may drive a little slow, in the slow lane, because I have height issues. Stopping to take pretty pictures means I have to pull the car over to the shear drop off that could lead to my most certain death. I'm an air force brat, but spent most of my growing up years in Germany, so I consider that home. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally 100% american. I just have a soft spot for Germany, until I find an area that feels that way to me in the states. Colorado just may be it. I'm so much closer to prime chasing territory! I've got mountains with snow! I haven't seen snow in 15+ years! There are tons of things to do here! And one doesn't have to contend with the heat! And there's all the national forests around here, that I can shoot in! Although, all the practice poses a problem with why I can't hit the broad side of a barn. Perhaps, more practice is the solution? (I'm totally joking) I can hit center mass.... I just like to shoot. :mrgreen:

    Welcome Txwxgirl, I'm a Native of Colorado and you sound okay to me! Apologies excepted! Now come to one of our shoots so we can raze the way you shoot! Just kidding, I'm glad you could excape from the land of Dixie. I just hope you covered your tracks, we don't want anyone following you! hahaha! I'm joking! I know of a great spot to target shoot in Idaho Springs, We'll have to wait until the snow melts to get to it.
