So, yeah, I'm down with the post count idea. I'd make it much, much higher, though. I'd also be more than willing to donate to keep the site up and running and for the privilege of buying/selling here.

maybe, maybe not. but the way I see it, if the admin feels he can control spam via post count minimum, who am I to argue?

I like the new rule, could be even higher in my opinion. I was a newbie here, and probably sold some items and bought items before posting very many times int he forums. I've grown and learned.
Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.
It's a good place to come so a few rules don't hurt
