The report on the new CZ. Great gun! 120 rounds and zero jams! For a previous owner of a DAO ‘jamming’ plastic ‘gun’ this was a pleasure! [Please do not send hate mail! This thing about my previous ‘plastic gun’ is not my opinion but fact! It jammed even after a trip to the factory! No names… so no one’s feelings get hurt… sigh!]
Any how, the SA trigger was smooth. So much so that I shoot some double taps… and did not intend to do so! I got compliments on the double taps… but they came along because of the smooth SA trigger and my lack of time with this new gun. I will get it right… some day!
The large capacity mag was great to load 11 on the first ‘load and make ready’. One in the tube and 10 in the mag! Also, this particular gun had a nice quirk. After finishing a mag the slide stayed back… of course. But, as soon as I inserted a new clip, the slide went forward with out my intervention and I was ready to rock right away. Cool!
My scores might not reflect how good the gun was but my lack of expertise with this new gun in my hands. I had a few ‘procedural’ penalties because of failure to ‘slice the pie’ properly. This of course does not reflect on the gun. On one steel silhouette, I hit it three times and it would not go down!
I am happy with the new CZ 75B SA. Great gun indeed. Also there were some great people at the CCIDPA match on Oct 14th.
