Florida transplant living in Greeley.

Hello to all!

I moved to scenic Greeley, CO from north Florida a couple months ago. I imagine this is as popular with native Coloradoans as it was for me when the carpetbaggers moved to my state. However, as your newest carpetbagger, I promise not to insist that everything be run here like it was in Florida. (Our gun laws are great, but keep us the hell away from your property taxes.)

Anyways, I am a very non-tactical middle age guy with a great appreciation for firearms and the folks who use them. I'm a proud veteran of the US Navy, and a father of a one year old future shooter. I look forward to making shooting friends on this site, and exploring everything that Colorado has to offer.

It is taking a while for me to acclimitize, for certain. I can't figure out if it is altitude or allergies, but my sinuses have been killing me for a couple weeks now.

Everything has it's trade-offs:
I've traded high humidity for low oxygen levels;
Alligators for bears and moose(s?);
Pythons and water moccasins for rattle snakes;
Heavy traffic for longer commuting distances;
Little old ladies in large cars for...well, that one is pretty much the same.

All in all, I am excited to be here and hope I won't be going anywhere for quite a while.
